The mother of the former all-rounder for Zimbabwe in international cricket, Karen Streak, has categorically refuted the rumours that her son has died.

Karen Streak has confirmed that these stories are absolutely untrue, despite numerous claims to the contrary. The former cricket star did not pass away yesterday, as claimed by many. Karen stated in a conversation with The Chronicle,

Although Heath is ill, he is fine. At the farm, he can be seen moving around and making jokes.

“Considering who Heath is, as a family, we are worried by the news, and the phone hasn’t stopped ringing. In order to clear the air, I’m picking up the phone, Karen stated.

Heath has been fighting disease for some time after receiving a stage 4 cancer diagnosis. He has received treatment in South Africa and at home.

The newspaper also notes that this morning, Heath’s family representative, Joseph Rego, confirmed that he is still alive and now on the farm.

“He is OK; it is untrue that he has passed away. According to Rego, a longtime friend and adviser of Streak, “I would have been among the first to know and release the information.”

Former Teammate Henry Olonga Confirms Heath Streak Is Alive

Shortly after Henry Olonga, Streak’s former teammate, reported the ex-captain’s passing, the former pace bowler-turned-singer tweeted a second message denying the report.

Olonga shared a snapshot of a discussion he had with Streak on WhatsApp, in which Streak acknowledged that he was “very much alive” and asked Olonga to delete his prior status.

“I can affirm that Heath Streak’s demise has been considerably overstated, according to rumours. He just spoke to me. He was contacted again by the third umpire. Folks, he’s still very much alive,” Olonga posted on X.
