Biden Immigration Official Called for the Abolishment of ICE, Ending All Illegal Immigrant Detention

Avideh Moussavian, an immigration officer in the Biden administration, formerly worked for a group that fought to abolish ICE and eliminate all detention of undocumented immigrants.

In this government, this is just standard operating procedure. They give far-left activists control over things they disagree with. It’s the same as giving law enforcement over to anti-law enforcement extremists.

According to her prior work and remarks examined by the Daily Caller News Foundation, a senior Biden administration U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) official once argued for the “abolition” of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and collaborated with an anti-ICE group.

After starting her employment with USCIS in March 2022, Avideh Moussavian was later chosen to lead the organization’s Office of Policy and Strategy in March 2023. Before joining the Biden administration, Moussavian tweeted in 2018 with the hashtag “abolishICE,” charging the organisation with “misleading the public and making our workplaces less safe.” In a 2019 tweet, she also argued for “defunding” CBP and ICE.

Between 2013 and 2022, Moussavian also worked for the National Immigration Law Centre (NILC), a group that has pushed for the elimination of immigration detention and the defunding of ICE and Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
